A few years ago, four friends, each with an impressive resume within the music business, got together to form what would become The Deadbeat Poets. Main songwriters Frank Secich (Blue Ash, Stiv Bators) and Terry Hartman (Backdoor Men) are complimented by the outstanding musicianship of Pete Drivere and John Koury (both of Infidels fame), and accomplished songwriters in their own right. Their debut album, "Notes From The Underground" received critical acclaim culminating in USA Today calling it "one of the best albums of 2007."
And now...The Deadbeat Poets present their 2nd album, "Circus Town". Fourteen months in the making, it is an album of epic proportions. Sonically thrilling. Lyrically tantalizing. Twelve tracks that will mesmerize and leave you at once feeling like you have just "experienced" an "album". The way albums used to be experienced. It tells a story from the start to the finish. It will draw you in and take you on a journey to a place that is oh so real... Circus Town. A place where song craft matters.
For those of you who remember the days when "albums" meant something. Remember what it felt like to really feel an album. I guarantee you will listen with joy.
And for those of you too young to know that feeling, be prepared to finally "get it".
The Deadbeat Poets.....Circus Town......an instant classic!
